I still write a lot of code on a hobbyist basis, and I can always compile my code as either 32 bit mode or 64 bit mode. But even if it were, I think they should make three versions available, 32 bit Windows, 64 bit Windows, and 64 bit Mac.

My understanding of the 32 bit decision on Windows is that the developers believe that their user base includes Windows machines that cannot run 64 bit apps. With my understanding of how such things work, it should be possible and is probably trivial to compile it as a 64 bit Windows app.

The RM8 code base is the same for Windows and Mac and it's compiled either as a 64 bit Mac app or as a 32 bit Windows app. I totally agree that it should be 64 bit on Windows, but it isn't. That's because RM8 actually is a 32 bit app on Windows. I find the message about RM8 not installing because it is not a 32 bit application to be very strange - impossible almost.
